A French composer, conductor and teacher, Nadia Boulanger had a staggering influence on American music in the 20th century. The first woman to conduct a major American symphony orchestra also taught music to such diverse musical personalities as Aaron Copland, Quincy Jones, Philip Glass and Chicago’s very own Patricia and Philip Morehead.
Join the members of the Ondas Ensemble (Julie Koidin, flute; Victoria Holland, soprano; and Rick Ferguson, piano) and composer Patricia Morehead for a special evening en musique et en paroles around the legacy of Nadia Boulanger and the music of her younger sister, Lili Boulanger.
